About Zach

Hi, I’m Zach. A super nerd, lifelong student, and analytical empath.

I have spent my life as a leader, supervisor, manager, and coach. My professional start came in managing summer camps for people with special needs. There I recruited, hired, trained, and supervised dozens of young adults each summer to provide outstanding programs for people with all varieties of physical and developmental disabilities, injuries, disorders, and at-risk backgrounds. I also facilitated teambuilding on ropes courses and in corporate settings. I am fascinated with the concept of synergy, or getting more than the sum of all parts

Following summer camps, I began managing in general practice. With no clinical background, I learned to lead doctors and nurses while simultaneously digesting both the US and NZ medical systems. At the same time, I coached youth sports, raised young children, and knocked out an MBA.

My success in clinic management culminated with COVID, where general practice was challenged to the extreme. While I couldn’t have been more proud of the outcomes delivered by the team I lead, I chose to seek a new direction and am here to serve your needs.

Business Coaching

My experience in coaching and mentoring comes from years of management.

I have acted as a Business Manager supporting new doctors opening a rural medical practice when I had zero experience in clinics, a General Manager for a 10,000+ patient medical practice, and led operations in the not-for-profit world on a shoestring budget.

This experience provides me a unique perspective that can simultaneously challenge and support you as you strive for improvement.

Teambuilding

I bring a wealth of experience and a deep passion for teambuilding. My bag of tricks is ever growing and I love exploring growth through the process of play.

Beginning as a young professional while still in university, I have facilitated teambuilding sessions for groups of all types. This has included the board of a large US insurance company, several NCAA sport teams, students and religious groups.

 

Information Technology and Systems

I have a track record for identifying and implementing IT and IS solutions. I have led projects transitioning primary software, cloud solutions, and phone systems. I am skilled in researching and identifying the best solution, implementing appropriate hardware and software, and teaching staff so as to maximize efficiency gains.

My studies also included masters level information systems classes:

I completed my Masters in 2016 at Fort Hays State University with a 3.58 GPA and scored in the 90th percentile on a US nationwide exam for MBA completion. My studies included:
